Overview

Do you want business savvy to enhance your abilities as a health professional?   Look no further.

bw_pad_penl.jpgMcMaster's DeGroote School of Business and School of Rehabilitation Sciences have come together to create this new MHM program which is offered on-line, on a part-time basis, and designed specifically for health professionals who are currently employed in a clinical and/or management capacity in any health care sector in Canada or internationally.

The Master of Health Management (MHM) is intended to provide regulated health professionals with a combination of core management skills (accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management etc.) and a broad understanding of the Canadian health care policy development and service delivery environments (health system design, health policy analysis, and evidence based decision-making).

Students will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to excel as a middle or senior manager within both the public and private spheres of Canada's health care sector.

The program will be of particular interest to regulated health professionals wishing to gain the skills and credential that will facilitate their advancement within the non-profit health care system (hospitals, long-term care facilities, etc.) or for those health professionals who are currently working, or plan to work, in the for-profit health care system either in private practice or as part of a larger corporate entity.
