Master of Health Management

Program Information

4people.jpgThe MHM program is offered primarily on-line, with two short on-site residency periods (three days each on-site at McMaster University in term 1 and term 6 of the program).  These residency periods allow students to build rapport with other students in their cohort and to meet faculty members who may serve as an advisor for the student's scholarly paper.

The program is offered on a part-time basis with students from a variety of health professional backgrounds taking five core courses together as part of a small cohort throughout the program.

In addition, students will take one elective and have access to on-line courses (or on-site courses as an option for local students) from the DeGroote School of Business, the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, or from a wide range of courses offered through other faculties and departments at McMaster University (including Nursing, Social Work, Gerontology, and Epidemiology to name a few).  Students will complete a scholarly paper under the supervision of a faculty member either concurrently with on-line course work or following the completion of required course work.

This provides students with the flexibility to complete the entire program within 24 to 36 months.
